The Bosch ProTL 175CL (Liquid Propane) Condensing tankless water heater is equivalent to the Bosch Greentherm C950ES-LP and is a top performance, fully condensing gas tankless water heater from Bosch. This 175,000 BTU heater is designed for residential applications and can deliver hot water up to 140 degrees F with a 10.5 GPM flow rate.
This Energy Star approved tankless water can produce enough hot water for 2-3 major applications in most homes.
Unlike traditional non-condensing models, condensing technology captures heat from the exhaust gas and uses it to preheat the incoming cold water. This increases efficiency and reduces emissions -- well ahead of the 2012 Low NOX emissions standards set by SCAQMD (California -- South Coast Air Quality Management District).
This heater features an electronic ignition system and can vent through either 3 inch or 4 inch diameter PVC vent pipe either through the side wall or up through the roof. Two concentric venting options are available including a polypropylene concentric up-and-out side-wall venting option for single units. Two to four units can now be exhausted through a single 6" polypropylene vent pipe.
The Bosch ProTL 175C has an Energy Factor up to 0.95 and is equipped with an automated and fully modulating bypass for unsurpassed Domestic Hot Water (DHW) temperature stability.
This heater comes with built-in freeze protection and a water filter that is externally accessible, but does not come with a PRV.
This indoor Bosch tankless water heater can be installed outdoors in non-freezing areas when combined with the Bosch BTOK Outdoor Vent Kit.
The Special Edition Bosch ProTL 175CL is the direct replacement for the Bosch Greentherm C 950ES LP which also replaces the Bosch Therm C950ES-LP.
Please note that this condensing tankless water heater will only run on liquid propane.
